Defoe is fast, and a good finisher. Another Owen type player, but will not be as good as Owen. Bridge is good, but will not displace Silvestre. I say keep all the current midfielders. Add a CB or two. I would go for Samuel, Ayala and Tudor. I would then go for a RB. Ideally Javier Zanetti, but Inter would never sell.

Ronaldo has said he'd love to play for UTD (at the ill conceived world club championship in Brazil). He's leaving Inter at the end of the season and wants to play in England. If fit, and that's a big if, then he could be utterly awesome with RVN up front. Think of the space RVN would find with Ronaldo taking up to 3 defenders out of the game.
