Lets talk about the cody gakpos, the mason mounts, haverts, joao felixes et al

I hate these kind of players. I hope we stay away of these

They are good players with great talent, who arent lethal enough to be a 9, arent creative enough to be a n10, not fast enough to be a winger, not that good at tackling. I bet if you put them gloves theyd be decent at goalkeeping, or in any position whatsoever. But from a couple of youtube compilations and a good agent, they sell like hot cakes, and as the season progress, they leave fans with a sour taste after seeing theyre not all that. It seems to me that after a while they end up in the bench because they can't solidify a spot on the starting xi

Is like a bruno without the goals and assist

Yuck!

Sounds a lot like Sancho. :( Although to be fair to Sancho he is creative enough to be a n10.

João Felix is much better than all the other players you mentioned there, he just gets injured all the time.

Felix & Havertz have just been used incorrectly. Felix is the archetypal false 9 - that you flank with 2 goal scoring wide forwards.

Havertz actually has the toolset to be an incredible box to box 8, but is for some reason used up front as a false 9.

The players aren't at fault, poor management and team construction is in their case.

Is he? I was never impressed by him when he was at atletico. How would you play him? As a striker, a false 9, or with a n9 in front of him? Its so hard to know where his best position is, that's why i put him on this category. Also, the false 9 concept i just don't like it. To me it's synonymous with tiki-taka which is the brand of football that i have hated the most

Has the composure and tight dribbling ability but hasn't shown the awareness, vision and passing range - though that can be coached to a certain extent.

I was impressed listening to Bruno talk through this series of plays from around 12:20:

I agree with you. I think he would do a great job in that position, far behind in the field than he plays now

When I saw him at Benfica his movement was amazing, I thought he looked reminiscent of Inzaghi, I wouldn't have a problem with playing him as a 9. He's also really good running at people though and his passing is good so he can easily drop off. For me he just needs a partner up front whether he's playing 10 or 9. He'd work well with Giroud for example I reckon.
