The new Bond Theme

Pretty sub-sub -standand for a Bond theme.

Probably the worst ever done.

Shite.

Should have got The Last Shadow Puppets to do it imo.

brownfinger, the man with a finger in his bum
brownfinger, known as that boy rimaldo to everyone

Its awesome
I like the lyric "Bondy bond mr bond has lots of guns bondy bond he likes abit of bondage bondy bond suck his bond."

Very average, I mean the music just sounds like a bunch of different instruments all playing some random tune.

Probably a grower

It's terrible. Jack White should not be allowed to make music that people might actually hear.

That's actually really bad

Mainly because it's really really irritating! Blacks voice is bad enough at the worst of times, but the instrumental grates your ears too!

I hope the films better than the song!

I like alicia keyes music but I actually think the problem with that track is her and not jack white(she obviously wrote at least most of it). Its just a bit too hip hoppy to be a bond theme in much the same way that madonna's effort(which is infinately worse) is too techno. Its a shame because the musical arrangement is good, its just that the lyrics are crap and the voices don't suit.

It will be nice to see them return to the Jazz like roots of bond themes.

Of the recent ones, Pierce onward I would have to say Tina Turner's Golden Eye was the best. This one is Ok, although I don't really like it, it is certainly unique

Bond tunes need to be classy. This is not.

Its not one of the worst songs I've ever heard but its just not suited for a Bond movie.

I agree with all this.

It's Jack White not Jack Black you cretin :p

Thing is, it might well be a good song, but it's not a Bond song. Bond songs are and should be a very specific type -- Jazz-esque, if you will. I thought Chris Cornell's was good for Casino Royale, but that was right on the cusp of what can be considered.

I've only heard it once and don't like it very much from that listen (I always hope songs will grow on me, particularly a Bond theme cos I want to like it!).

Not the worst of them all though. The very last one from Casino Royale beats it straight away. Didn't like Tomorrow Never Dies either. In fact, it's shit.

Shite.

Good shout that.

I'm very surprised given my initial reaction to it, but I have to admit this tune has grown on me quite a lot. I've found myself tapping out the beat a few teams

I even think it might be a 'Bond' tune after all. If you watch the Coca Cola adverts, it feels like Bond music

Sadly, Jack White wrote all of it - or at least he has the sole writer's credit for it.
Normally I like Jack White's music, I'm not a massive fan by any means but I do like the White Stripes, but it makes for a shite Bond song - albeit not quite as bad as Madonna's.

Also, is it just me, or does Alicia Key's sing horribly out of tune when she tries to repeat the notes Jack White's playing on guitar - because it sounds completely off key.

im starting to really love it too

WTF is that shite? Its the first time I've heard it and hate it instantly. It'll probably sound better with accompanying movie shots, but right now its just an accident of instruments.

Ditto. It'll grow on you lads. Not as good as Chris Cornell's 'You know my name' from Casino Royale, but i'm beginning to like it after a few listens.
