How will it be working ? Will you pick posters to write on whatever they like, or ask them to write on a particular topic ?

I think the best format would be Niall or the mods pointing up a burning question and people answering with Yes or No and their arguments. Then the admins would choose their favourite "Yes" post and their favourite "No" and put them together on the blog.

for instance,
Is Ronaldo a United legend : Yes/No
Should Owen be in the starting 11 : Yes/No

Don't you think that would be the best way to make it efficient ? Furthermore, any poster could write about a topic he is particularly fond of (personally I'm eager to propose something about Ligue 1, its prospects or its actuality) and the mods would judge it good or not for publishing on the blog.

I am not sure I understood what Niall said about this but I have understood it will be a handful of posters who will have free-access to write about whatever they like. I think it might not be the best way to do it because these knowledgeable posters aren't necessarily keen on every subject. Opening doors to anyone willing to contribute by enabling one to send its articles to a mod/admin would surely prove more interesting. Anyway, I think this is a formidable addition to the Caf. Cheers Niall.

You do realise how much work that would be for the admin/mods don't you? Too much, they are not editors, so this is never going to happen. Having it totally open without editorial control would be a madness so that's a no-no as well. I think the way that it will work is that certain posters that are thought to be of quality opinion and competent writing ability will be asked if they want to do it. Others over time could be asked if they demonstrate that they are able to put together a small blog type article by posting in the forums and making good arguments against blog posts. The Wiki is not going to be a free for all either, at least not to start with and slightly more open than the Blog as far as I understand.

Good ideas Nani Nana. That is very much what I have in mind for the Blog. It won't be a closed shop by any means. If people are keen to contribute, I definitely want them to contact me.

I just don't want there to be too many cooks and all that.

And yes blogs don't necessarily have to be entirely related to United. Broader football topics are also welcome, so by all means go ahead with your Ligue 1 write up and send it through to me.

Cheers, I'll do it as soon as the season kicks off and new faces come to the fore. I guess nobody wants to hear about Gourcuff again.
