Ladies and Gentlemen, do yourselves a favour and find a way to get your hands on this album. You'll be relieved to find out that filthy torrents of it aren't available, so there's no point in checking any of the usual horrible sites.

But from what I quite literally hear, it's the best album of the year so far without a shadow of a doubt, and one of the best I have heard over the last number of years.

10/10.....or so I hear...:boring:

Might check this one out, I've listened to some of their older stuff and been very impressed so if this is anywhere near that it should be another excellent album

Will have to look for this, loved both Alligator and Boxer. Fantastic band, easily one of the best around right now.

Sounds a bit on the depressing side of the musical spectrum to me. A tad monotonous too.

Yeahh it's made in a similar style to that of Joy Division and Interpol, baritone vocals and depressing lyrics, but with a good beat. They're a band that most people don't seem to like at first, but their music has lots of subtle qualities to it and if you give them a chance they're ace I think. They also have fantastic arrangements and orchestral touches throughout their albums; pianos, violins, trumpets etc. So it's not as monotonous as at first impression.

I also love the way they use the Dressner brothers, as it's hard to say which one exactly is supposed to be the lead guitarist, since they are often used equally, which is one of my favourite things about the band. On some tracks you might have one playing in the left ear, and the other in the right, both slightly different but both taking the lead/rythm and it sounds great. Like on this track;

A few of my other picks;

After listening to it a few times in my car I think this is their best album to date.

Yes, yes, yes! Absolutely brilliant album!
