We've all been frustrated by various Caf posters in the past, be it for their obsession with transfer rumours, or other forms of cluelessness.

I propose we hold a regular poll (I suggest weekly) to decide who has proven to be the greatest muppet in that time period. You may call me cruel, but I argue that it's for our sanity - a form of relieving aggressoin toward these idiodic posters. The poster with the highest score recieves a new status for a week (or whatever time period is suitable)

I've toyed with this idea for some time (have a bit too much of that, clearly), but initially decided it was bullying. However, I've been forced to reconsider after reading this thread. Here's an excerpt from that thread:

The fans pay good money to see their team, and if players don't preform then they deserve to be booed.

They don't get paid 30/40/50k a week to play badly.

Look at Giggs last season. After a few weeks of boo's, he fixed up.

Thoughts?

Could be a good idea but the summer always brings assorted loonies out of the woodwork. And the field is so wide open that it is an impossible choice.

Booing sorted Giggs out

Fergie - Criticism hurt Giggs
Friday, 07 February 2003

Players:

Ryan Giggs
Teams:

Manchester United

by Adam Marshall
SIR ALEX FERGUSON has admitted that Ryan Giggs was hurt by the recent criticism from the Manchester United supporters, as he looks forward to the derby against local rivals City on Sunday.
The Red Devils boss feels that revenge is not the right word to use after City triumphed 3-1 at Maine Road, but hopes that some of his players now realise the importance of the derby matches.

"I think that confidence and belief comes from winning games," stressed Ferguson.

"I think there are some players who have a self-confidence that can withstand almost any battering - their confidence is upper-most.

"But not a whole team.

"I was just saying about confidence and how some people get affected more easily than others.

"I think the thing that hurt Ryan more was that he has been at the club for so long, and there were doubts cast over him.

"But he has responded in the right way, and that is what we want to see."

The Scot is also happy to point out the fact that clashes against City are always grand occasions in The Premiership.

"The Manchester derbies are always massive games," he told United's official website. "We don't need to worry about that.

"After the last game, where we threw the match away, we want to make amends for that.

"It's not a matter of revenge, but we want to make up for the supporters' disappointment on the day, because it was a massive disappointment.

"Most of the players who played that day understand the meaning of derbies, they are mostly home-bred players.

"But some hadn't been in the derby before. Maybe some of the players will realise the importance of the Manchester derby now.

"I don't think you can wallow in the defeat. You want it to wash away quickly, that is your job as a manager."

Meanwhile, United fans travelling to Cardiff for the Worthington Cup final on March 2, can take advantage of special trains being laid on by Wales & Borders Trains.

Two special trains will run from Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central ahead of the eagerly-awaited encounter with Liverpool, and tickets are only available from Manchester Piccadilly Station Booking Office or from the special ticket hotline on 0870 2400386.

Reservations and advance bookings are compulsory, and special trains will also run from Liverpool Lime Street, with these becoming available from February 10.

And how do we define muppets?

Those, who post crap with no evidence or those who post without knowing anything abt a subject? Example, posts regarding Call Centres and how staffing is based on a mean average of call volume, remaining constant for 365 days. Or all agents ought to being perm staffs instead of a dynamic temp workforce complimented by perms.

I've got one as well...Spinnnonothing, his name! :p

It's in the Current Evens forum with a now slightly misleading thread title about Malaysia rejecting Muslim fundamentalism.
