The MotoGP season kicks off this weekend in Qatar.

Who do you think will win it? Paddy Power has Valentino Rossi at evens favourite with Stoner a close second favourite.

V Rossi evens
C Stoner 6 - 4
J Lorenzo 7 - 1
D Pedrosa 8 - 1
A Dovizioso 16 - 1
N Hayden 25 - 1
L Capirossi 40 - 1
C Vermeulen 40 - 1
C Edwards 80 - 1
J Toseland 100 - 1
T Elias 150 - 1
M Kallio 150 - 1
A De Angelis 150 - 1
S Gibernau 150 - 1
M Melandri 150 - 1
Y Takahashi 200 - 1
N Canepa 250 - 1
R De Puniet 250 - 1

It's obviously hard to see beyond Rossi or Stoner for this year's title. I would presume that Pedrosa, Lorenzo and Dovizioso will continue their improvement and each get a win in one of the races. Hopefully Hayden can find some of the form that won him a World Championship not so long ago.

It'll be great to see Gibernau back also.

It should be a great season anyway. I am a big Rossi fan and I hope he can win again. He is easily the best out there.

Casey obviously has the better bike (as he did last year) but it seems to be far superior. Rossi is the quicker rider and if Yahama can get his bike anywhere close to the Ducati, I'd expect Rossi to win the championship come the end of the season. I hope another couple of people could challenge as well rather than it just being a Rossi v Stoner championship.

There must only be 2 of us who like MotoGp so!!

First race postponed until Monday because of torrential rain in Doha.

I am kinda glad this got delayed, I was out tonight and would have missed it.

To be honest, if Casey had the better bike, the other Ducatti riders would be competing with him.

Its becoming a trend with Rossi fans to say his competitors have a better bike . Perhaps if any other rider had the support Rossi did during the golden years, 'like over night tyres from France.......' he wouldn't have the results he boasts today.

Casey would have won the title if not for his wrist last season. Anybody who rides bikes knows that the pressure on the wrist is strong even at legal speeds let alone the speed the speeds of these guys.

If it was as simple as that and Rossi had the best bike, then the other Yamaha riders would be competing with him.

Rossi has proven how good he is year after year on both good and bad bikes. Rossi > Stoner.

Just finished in Jerez
Rossi
Pedrosa
Stoner

I thought Pedrosa was going to win.

It has shaped up to be a great championship. 3 different winners in the first 3 races.

Stoner did well to come in third, Ducati usual crap in Jerez. Anyone see the 250 race that was great, action down to the last lap

Yea that was a great race. Stoner did do well to come third. He was obviously helped when Lorenzo crashed out but I don't think Lorenzo would've pushed him too hard anyway.

Fantastic race yesterday. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole thing. I went to make a cup of tea for 2 minutes and everything had changed! Great win for Casey. It should be a great battle between he, Rossi and Lorenzo for the title. Nice to see Capirossi up near the front.

another great race yesterday, I quite like them changing bikes half way makes it unpredictable.

good win for Brad as well. And what a 250 race!

If anyone just saw that race, how incredible was that, jesus christ.

Jesus what a final lap. What a move by Rossi, if only F1 could buy a little of the the excitement Moto Gp can generate.

incredible race just amazing, the master taking on the apprentice. Lorenzo was superb but Rossi is simply the Greatest of All Time!

that 125 race was pretty good too

I just watched the pass again, honestly I have never seen someone even think about passing someone through that corner, let alone pull it off. It is honestly a pleasure to watch him at work, Lorenzo is fantastic too.

100th career victory for Rossi. Lorenzo 2nd, Stoner 3rd.

Another good win for the Doctor. It looks like being a good fight between he, Stoner and Lorenzo for the championship.

Really can understand that absolute fecking stupidity of Italians and motorsport. What the feck did Casey have to gain by going out on wet tyres when nobody else was. Those weather predictors are absolutely shite!

feck me. Stupidity absolute fecking stupidity.

And people wonder why Michael was so successful. Italians didn't run the bloody team!

it was casey's idea to go on wets, ducati tried to force him not to, but with the conditions and his illness he said he found it hard to ride the track on dry tyres. He was lucky that Lorenzo fell off and Rossi didn't win. In that respect he is still in the championship.

Other than that what a ride by Colin

Unless he falls off and Lorenzo or Stoner wins then no I dont think so.

I suppose with 25 points for winning a race then it's obviously extremely feasible. You're right though, if he stays on his bike then he'll probably win the championship.

15 laps left in Brno

3. Pedrosa
4. Elias
5. Dovizioso
