As objective as ever. I'll hazard a guess that no more than 2 other people on this board have ever heard of this croatian sensation.

Belgrade was in Serbia last time I looked - given that a few thousand people have been killed over this distinction I think we could try and remember it - even if we haven't heard of their players....

But the player could still be Croatian couldn't he? A lot of great croatian players played for Red Star so I wouldn't be surprised.

Gotta agree with the people saying Rooney. Not just because he's scored a couple recently, his alround play looks like that of a player with a hell of a lot more experience. His movement is excellent and he should have scored against us last month, i reckon if he was given that chance now he'd probably put it away

how about tha russian kid, sychev?

...and what happened to cassano???

My geography is fine thanks. You haven't been here long enough to understand why I said that. Think yourself lucky.

sychev broke his contract and after his fifa ban ends in jan he can sign with anybody for a very small fee

cassano had a huge falling out with capello and is nearly always on the bench shame because he looks the biz

I think he'll be more successful than Ian Rush was.

I thought it was widely accepted that Gerrard was the best young player in world football...?

At least that's what I've been told by Scousers more than once..

but he's 21/22 isn't he.
I mean Owens 22.
what's the cut off point?
teenagers?

i've always found roy lieber's guides to be a pretty good barometer.

roy goes for 'unestablished' players rather than an age cut-off point.

Suppose you have to throw Joe Cole in there as well.
Would love to see what he could really do in a decent team.

Van der Vaart is quite a good player (and it really hurts to say that, cause I kind of dislike Ajakkes)
But in Holland we have quite a few talented players:
Arjen Robben: our left winger. Only 18 years old and is very good! He really likes to make actions. He's just like Boudewijn Zenden in the old days when he was still good <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />
And Leandro, the real scouts say he's better than Romario and Ronaldo. So I'm not going to tell you more about him :p

My little friend is also very good. A real talent!
I babysit on him quite often :)

I always wonder, why is it that Dutch girls turn me on sooooo easily?
