I'm not an idiot. Just because I don't buy in to the whole pretentious artsy films doesn't make it so..
And what's wrong with wanting to see a film filled to the brim with action, and some octopuses and sharks on the side? I've never seen that before, it will entertain me and miraculously that's what I'm looking for. Anyone watching films other than the reason of being entertained is living a lie.
Let's see, there's a reason why the "great" films doesn't sell as well as the Hollywood ones. Why? Because they suck. Most dramas (I must admit there is some of them I could yearn to see) and film noirs etc. is just weird for the sake of being weird, and usually too long and terribly boring. Why are they then considered great (point 1 being Seven incredible boring Samurai), well it's because film critiques tries to justify their job by being different from the people. And it's also because of the pretentious "Oh! I am now naturally discovering my true self!"-goths who should rather buy "How to live life for Dummies". Fantastic cinematography?! It's just fecking black/white, welcome to the 21th glorious century, get some colour. And it fecking tops it when you say I'M THE IDIOT, omfg.
!
I'm not even going to sink down to the level of backtalking, because deep down you know I'm right. You can sit and watch films from deep down in Bangladesh made from change found on the street whilst trying to convince yourself that everything has a deeper meaning and there is some hidden message or whatever.
Meanwhile I'm going to go to a decent cinema, not get secretly bored (as I I'm guessing you are) and let my mind rest at ease while action with high class actors spank me in the face!
-not really.
