The most (realistic) perfect scenario in May?

What do you want to see as our position as a football club as the final whistle goes on our last game in May?

New owners or Top 4? New owners and Top 4? New owners and a cup? All three? 2023 looks to be the most interesting year in a decade at the club.

I think 3rd is realistic and a top four is likely. New ownership would be great but I have a feeling it’s something that’s gonna drag on longer. We can win a cup too. That’s realistic.

It’s good to feel optimistic about the club once again.

Realistically, hopefully still be mathematically in with a chance come May to win the league. We won’t win it but it’d be nice to not end up miles off.

I have a feeling the ownership will be done in January tbh and we’ll spend.

I have a feeling that if we get top 4, the owners will decide not to sell. Why should they? Ragnick choas was the perfect time.

I want us to beat Barca and go on to win the Europa league which I consider as a massive victory just one step below the EPL and 2 beneath the CL.

Beating barca has the extra advantage of putting us back on the international map again which is dreadfully needed.

I don't think we'll struggle for top 4 tbh, we'll be a comfortable 3rd at worst. Obviously new ownership, hopefully not state backed but I'd take it over the Glazers.

I'd like a cup final, ideally pick up one trophy. More importantly, I'd like to see Sancho back in the team and flying, Rashford and Martial both with 15+ league goals.

Third, the Europa League and a new ownership. This would genuinely set a very strong foundation for us going forward.

League cup, fa cup Europa, top four and new ownership. That would be perfect for this season.

We need someone to take pressure off them,so in May would love 3rd place finish and win either Carabao/FA/Europa.

All three.

Win the europa and a maybe a domestic cup to cap of the season.

We could get carabao early if we could manage getting past city and it should be a nice starting point to get the team in the mood for winning.

New owners will be appreciated as well, preferably ones with filled coffers and not too much a of moraly objectionable past(a contradiction i know).

Best possible position is:
  • 3rd
  • New owners (non state funded, but a smart owner who is also passionate about the club and just wants success... Ok not realistic)
  • A cup win

Finish top 4, bearing Liverpool, City and Arsenal along the way. New ownership in place with budget for 4-5 new players.

Best case realistic scenario?

3rd
Domestic cup
Europa League win
New Ownership

Most likely?

4th
Decent domestic cup runs, potential league cup win
Good Europa run
Sale ongoing

Top 4, a cup and new owners with deep pockets and it will have been a great season.

1. Top4
2. EL or FA Cup champion
3. Glazers gone
4. Arnold and Murtough gone ( we want real change and not from Ed to his mate Arnold and promote Murtough from women football to men football)
5. New onwer want to work with ETH and promised 350mils pound warchest.
6. Beginning of the new era of dominating England and Europe.

Without getting too far ahead of myself, I'd take new ownership above anything else, preferably with a clean past and non state funded.
Would be nice to go deep in a few cup competitions but I'd take a top 2/3 finish over KO competitions. If we can have Varane, Casemiro, Bruno, Eriksen and Rashford can stay fit and in form, we should be comfortable to get top 4 at the very least. I'll take that this season and see how we can build on that next season.

Lifting the uefa or the fa cup to complete the treble is the only answer or that would be for my club, swap uefa with Scottish n fa with league, win everything available.

when did Man Utd become such a tinpot club? Being happy with top 4 eh? We go into every season expecting the league and if we don’t it’s a failure and if we don’t get the 2 cups it’s a disappointment, but the the English are a different breed, Utd fans happy with top 4, seen Newcastle fans say draw with Leeds at home we should’ve won but Leeds got what they wanted etc,

if we draw not even a defeat it’s a disgrace, we live in a different world you.

Not bothered if they are state funded anymore along with top 4 and a cup win
