The Millennium Draft - Draw complete - R1 in Progress

Any player born on or after 1st Jan 1973 are eligible except for R9 and Messi who are blocked. So this should cover all players who peaked from 2000 onwards. We are aiming for 32 drafters.

Standard T&C:

S1 - Double snake draft - two snakes will start in the same time, one from top and one from bottom.
S2 - Initial drafting of 12 players (you can draft more if you like). The 12th (+) player does not have to play in the second round.
S3 - 3 hrs per pick. Do not wait or provide extra time. Extra 4 hours if PM'd to other players. Please PM the player after you in the order.
S4 - No change in picks after posting.
S5 - No substitutions. Tactical changes with in-field players only.
S6 - Draw will be decided by AI (please list 5 penalty takers when you submit your initial tactics)
S7 - In match thread, only one of the managers is allowed to post for the duration of the match. The other manager is restricted to 3 posts or less for the duration of match thread. Make your choice and make it clear on match thread on who will lead the discussions. It's not one at a time. It's just one for the match.
S8 - Only players born on or after 1st January 1973 are eligible.

Reinforcement Rounds -

Single snake style. The order will be reversed from initial drafting and compiled into a normal, single snake.
Two players for all rounds bar the final where you pick one player - you can only pick 1 player from the first and second drafted picks in each reinforcement round.

Let's give it a few more days and see what the uptake is. If we have only 16 we might want to have some more blocks but let's wait and see.

You'll do fine. Sometimes loads of voters see one side as slightly the better team which leads to a landslide even though everyone sees it as a pretty tight game.
