The Age of The understatement is a fantastic album, if you haven't heard it get on YouTube and listen to some of their stuff.

Looking forward to their next album.

Good album. I predict the next one will be shit though, Alex Turner seems to be getting a little too big for his boots at the mo.

Really good band. I knocked them at first but after listening to their album i realised they were excellent. Am off to see them at the Hammersmith Apollo on the 26th so that should be good. Their cover of Heat in the Morning by Bowie is class

Why do you say this Brophs?

I've just read/seen a few interviews where he's coming across as quite arrogant, which he never seemed to be at the start. He also seems to be getting stuck into the celeb party circuit pretty heavily from what I''ve seen, along with his missus-who seems like a right up-herself cow.

But I could be wrong either, maybe I'm being too harsh.

Thats a fair evaluation, he used to be much more recluse, but seems his celebrity Mrs has put him a bit more in the limelight & much more forthcoming - even so, I think he's a genius & a hard worker - he appears on the LSP album because he's trying to help his mate break through, which is pretty selfless in this day and age - but then again he could be getting well paid for it, who knows?

Is there anything you do like? You seem like someone who doesn't like stuff that others like just to be different.

He's a big fan of Lil Wayne and Snoop Dog tbf.

He's in the tabloids a lot more than he used to be. I put that down to his missus, who is also famous.

But his music never deteriorated and I can't wait for Arctic's album next year.

Age of Understatement is a very good album, I do agree.

Saw them at the Apollo (Manchester) last night and they were absolutely superb.

They had a 20 piece orchestra with them too.

Brilliant.

That's not right at all, he doesn't 'appear' on the album, it's a joint project between him and Miles Kane. It's not some charity record for the career of the rascals, it's a fully formed (and I reckon pretty good) album and side project.

I've not seen them live yet but I'm gonna try and catch them soon.

One thing to say though, if there is anyone who has listened to this album and liked it and has never heard anything by Scott Walker go find some of his music now, you will love it.

Just got back from their Hammersmith gig. fecking brilliant, amazing sound they produce, with the guitars over the orchestra, top class
