At old trafford to see united....take me home unit
I have a shortlist of 10 now, any 2 from Chelsea Harbour,point barrow,sir rembrandt,cornish rebel,,cloudy lane,naunton brook,parsons legacy,comply or die,black apalachi and homer wells

Already chose D'Argent making 3 bets, what do people think?

Any tips on my shortlist, what should I choose. BTW I cant choose Butlers Cabin, Simon or Bewleys Berry, other family have already picked them, I aint copying!!!

In market order:

Cloudy Lane - Big chance but too short in the betting
Comply or Die - Nice weight, good form and a proper stayer. Backed it.
Slim Pickings - Like the course form but last year`s race (he was placed) was weaker. Not for me.
Simon. Higher in the weights this time and not in the same form . Place lay.
Bewleys Berry. Should be at longer odds. Avoid.
Chelsea Harbour. Dark horse. Saver.
Butlers Cabin. False Price because McCoy is onboard.
King Johns Castle. Should be 33s. Avoid.
Mr Pointment. Too high in the weights.
Snowy Morning. Tempting but second season chasers don`t win this. Small EW maybe.
Hedgehunter. The handicapper is a twat for not dropping the old boy a few pounds. Could still place.
Point Barrow. Large on it last year and it fell at the first. Gone in again at 33s but not as confident. Stats wise he ticks all the boxes.

Be very surprised if the winner doesn`t come from that lot.

Still 11/2 on betfair. Putting a tenner on the favourite would have seen you making a £60 profit over the last ten years.

He was injured in the race and hasn`t run since. His price doesn`t appeal much.

You guys need to get yourselves Betfair accounts - he's 15/1 on there.

Agreed just love my Betfair

Betting Account in last 2 days.

You have to go back to 1967 to get a horse winning at odds of 100/1. Nothing has ever won at longer.

I put a fiver on Point Barrow. Not very confident but I will be very happy if it wins.

How do you do ew on betfair?

(Betfair is amazing, especially for bonus bagging)
They have a place market on each race so you can do place only or do the win as well for the EW (odds are consistently better than the bookies).

Just stuck another 5er on both Hedgehunter and Point Barrow to finish in top 4.

Could be a nice fairytale ending if it happened, or got close. The jockey, Tony Dobbin, announced his retirement earlier in the week and this will be his last National. Won the race back in 97 on board Lord Gyllene.

Point Barrow was highly faniced last year, a favourite, so...don't be too low about his chances.

For that reason, and i'm a sucker for the fairytale aspect bit to boot, i've backed him EW.

Know jack shit about horse racing but I've put a fiver on both Cloudy Lane and Butler's Cabin to win.

When we were drawing names out the bucket, I got Mcelvey or something but didn't bet on it. If it wins, I'll spit into my own scorn.

Umming and ahhing between Slim Pickings and Bewley's Berry (backed E/W). Off down the bookies in a bit, will see if odds have changed.

Butlers Cabin for me

Got some money on a few others

I can't remember which horse I drew, and have lost the piece of paper. So I'm going to claim whoever wins was my horse, on the off chance I'm actually right

Right lads, here's the one's to leave well alone (ie the one's I've backed)

Cloudy Lane £10 win
Chelsea Harbour - £10 win
Cornish Sett £2.50 ew (it's 100/1)

I've gone for:
Comply or die.
Mr Pointment (each way)

:D:D:D

Comply or die, is currently the best backed horse.
10-1 mostly.

Lets have it, I don't think there is anticipation like this found in any other sport.
