Something which the players have mentioned a lot in recent weeks.

They genuinely seemed moved by that reaction and it clearly spurred them on in the last three games.

Who’d of thought backing a struggling team would make the players feel better and want to try harder , then abusing them ?

Only our "Top Reds" could watch this shit in the ground and just mindlessly go through the songbook rather than give the manager and these players what they bloody deserve.

Spineless and just leads these players to believe they can get away with this shit. Standards have dropped, not just on the pitch.
I also feel that a lot of this singing when we're getting piped by Palace is attention seeking nonsense. "Hey look at us we don't care the we're getting mullered we love the club whatever". Makes me sick to my stomach.
These comments aged well.

It's a nice sentiment but I think it entirely comes down to the fact that after that loss, ten Hag finally changed the midfield setup.

Against Palace, that was the last time we played the suicidal, one man alone on an island midfield. The next game against Arsenal, we dropped Eriksen for Amrabat to play alongside Mainoo which finally gave us a midfield and, although we lost, you saw how much better we looked as a result of that. So much so, we won every game after, and they were against tough opponents in City, Brighton and Newcastle. On top of that, ten Hag finally gave Amad a run in the team which brought a fresh dimension to our play.

Undoubtedly has an effect. Would have been easy to check out after that defeat but we pulled together to make it a respectable end, and then of course an all time great FA cup win for us.

Fans who don't understand that support means a lot and think giving stick is beneficial are idiots (in person, online it doesn't matter so much but if you are there, you should be supporting them and lifting them).

Clearly we should've acted like a big club a booed them off the pitch.

He didn't really have a lot of choice in the matter did he?

A lack of options due to injuries played a part, sure, but Eriksen was still available after the Palace game so he could've just stuck with it like he had been doing. Thankfully, though, he didn't!

I'm all for going Uday Hussein on our players after every loss. This is what really motivates them and allowed the Iraq team to win multiple world cups and Olympics back in the day. Cheering is for sissies.
