1)Raul
2)Totti
3)Lopez
4)Kluivert.

Totti is the ideal for the man to play in the hole.He can play in-between the forwards or in the midfield, his passing and vision are sublime and he has the ability to find the net regularly. He knows all about creating chances, how to deliver a ball, where, and @ what pace.He can play with any striker and if he plays along with Ruud he would be awesome.

He might not come cheap but is the perfect and realistic target.

He's Roma through and through. Its gotta be Ronaldinhio. If we got little Ronny and he actually reached his potential then I think we could get past Real next year.

dont like the rows?

he looks like a ugly spree

Its because im a R--L supporter (i didnt say this time) :)

My email is that because i usually use VanTheMan as a nick ( you know Van Morrison? ) and i used to be webmaster at TA-POWER

thats why :)

Solskjaer is a perfectly good partner for Ruud when needed.

If they can score 61 goals in their first season together, there's no reason they couldn't go on to improve on that.

And as Fergie likes to play only one striker, where do all these big name buys fit in?

i think that manchester needs a good midfielder, keane for me is not that good. For me.

And Veron, i dont like him as well. I dont think he is classy enough form Man Utd.

Vieira should be a great addition.

Ronaldinho would be ideal if we're playing 4-4-1-1. He's quick and creative and the soul glow in his hair causes oil slicks on the pitch. :D

Just a word of warning seeing as you're new.

Some will say they want freedom of speech, but this kind of comment is frowned on.

Please feel free instead to slag off Beckham or Barthez, or possibly Giggs, altho he is flavour of the month at the moment so not sure about him.

Livvie, I think you should be stripped off of your 'mild-mannered' cherub, tag... Never expected this kind of below the belt hitting from you. It is a shame, Livvie. Totally unacceptable. That people called you things in one of you threads is quite pathetic, but at least they told it to you in your face. You are so cheaply striking below, Livvie and I think this is the most disgraceful thing to do!

As for you, EzyRyder, I don't mind expressing of opinion, so long as you can stand by your assessment in whatever way - sentimental, logical, analytical, whatever.

But, I do believe a majority of us does not believe that Veron is not class!!!

WUM.

Veron is the classiest player in terms of flair etc. since Cantona. Tit.

If you want to sign Totti then you'd have to reshape the team again into a 4-3-1-2 with Totti being the player behind TWO strikers. He can't play as a link man with only one striker.

IMO he's not all he's cracked up to be anyway.

I think she's entitled. I've never seen so much abuse directed at someone for God knows what. I still don't know why everyone went off at her.

After that thread, I'm wondering if we can say anything negative about Ruud, Mickey or Roy without being accused of being racist against the Dutch, French or Irish.

Like Livvie says though, David Beckham seems to be fair game these days. And there's the added bonus of him being English...so no need to fear being called a racist there.

Striking below?

Please elaborate Vinay.

I didn't post one abusive thing in that Veron thread and I was called xenophobic, racist, plus other stuff - for what? And having a go back is hitting below is it? I can find you any number of posts that have been more than insulting to Veron, and none of those posters have been called xenophobic racists etc. etc. - I never even criticised the bloke and I get sworn at and abused, and given nothing but grief. But because I'm upset about it that's wrong as well.

Like I said - please highlight all the stuff I've said that's hitting below, and we'll go thru it.

And is this not saying it to someone's face? Not anyone in particular admittedly, but whoever it applies to. This is a public forum Vinay and what I'm saying is in public - so it's hardly behind someones back is it. If I wanted to do that, I'd send PMs.

Asking the wrong person here. He's kind of the Italian Beckham. I think his looks played a big part in the hype he got/gets.

I'd go for Aimar before Totti.

Perhaps...

Atleast Becks has been a potent weapon, especially with his crosses. I've not seen anything from Totti.

Aimar's in a different league, i'd have him at United, over Ronaldhino...

It is quite easy, Livvie to utter sweeping comments like 'If you want to slag off someone, you better target Beckham, Barthez or even Giggs'. I don't find that bravery of any kind. When people told you something in your thread, you were given the chance to speak back. I don't say that what they say was warranted or justified. Or whether it was right. They expressed their feeling about it and you had plenty of chance to reply to it.

But, when you come here, in another thread and convey this 'frustration' to a newcomer, I personally think you are doing the cheapest thing... This is lack of character. I don't think what I am saying is entirely warranted on your part as a person, but, what you did was the cheapest thing.

It wasn't intended to be brave. Don't be so dramatic.

I'm making the point that on this forum atm are people who are trying to intimidate and bully - why not warn a newcomer what they're likely to encounter if they dare criticise JSV?? Can you deny it!

There's a new guy in the General who has already voiced his doubts about the forum - he mentioned that he can't get to matches these days, and was promptly called a WUM.

Very often there's no debate - just mindless abuse if someone disagrees with what you've said. You may think that's OK Vinay. I don't.

I did not say mindless abuse is OK. O no, I did not. But, what you did was the cheapest thing. The sarcasm under-riding your statement was so filthy, Livvie. That is what I consider even worse than mindless abuse.

And O no, please don't come and say that you were having a thoroughly altruistic mind in warning that newcomer. What you did was use it as a cheap platform, that's what you did. And you know it.

Bit of both to be honest.

If you don't think I've the right to feel bloody upset over what's been said then that's your prerogative.

And if you think sarcasm is filthy then this whole site is downright pornographic.

Trying to be reasonable, fair and constructive hasn't got me anywhere has it? So I'll try it another way. And how come you're so high-handed about my sarcasm, but didn't utter a word about me being called a "fecking anti-Argentinian racist". Double standards there I think.

I have never said you don't have the right to be upset. I understand your being upset. And I will be the first to realize that. But, Livvie, being upset does not warrant one to commit murder now does it? Wait! I am not comparing what you did to murder. But, what I am saying is that, there is a character one maintains. And, let's say that I never expected you to stoop so low, even being so upset. That would explain the outrage I feel here. If it were to be someone else, I might not have cared.

I know there is sarcasm all over the place here. I don't mind it when it is good natured, as it often is. Or, if I find it coming from someone who is just the kind who usually stays in the crowd, and when he/she feels the noise in the crowd is loud enough, will get emboldened enough to mention his/her tuppence worth or sarcasm. I don't rate that ever.

But, it came from someone like you and I was quite stunned, to say the least. People get upset Livvie and I thought that someone like had the character to manage that better.

I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way. Was never my intention. It is not a personal thing as much as it is my not liking the way you did something here...

To be honest, I don't have a way of knowing if you are, or are not anti-Argentinian. I don't know you well enough for that. I don't whether you are a xenophobe or not. And that is for you to come and clear. I don't have to do that for you. I will stand by what I believe and know. That I will.

Mind you, I am not, by this saying that you are a xenophobe. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that you are not. And yet, I cannot be sure. So, I can't stand for you or against you on this one. That's up to you to stand on your own feet and tell your stand.

You feel outrage???? Because I have been sarcastic??? No outrage at all the insults chucked my way tho!

Fine - but the only people my sarcasm was aimed at were those who have been completely OTT and downright abusive. No-one else. You call it stooping low. I call it hitting back.

Just remember, I didn't attack anyone.

What I will tell you is that when people are abusive that way, it does not even warrant a response. You are unnecessarily spending emotional energy and causing yourself only more grief taking the issue to the extent you are.

And well, I felt aimed at Livvie because I did mention that I would want to see someone else in the place of Barthez next season. And I don't think I deserved it!

A few years down the road that this scouser will be the kind of partner we're looking for RVN right now, and how better to stick it to the dippers than with a United shirt on his back. He has the ability to beat players, the awareness to see teammates around him, shoot from distance, and looks a natural goalscorer. Also I really like his toughness which gives him a defensive value that many forwards lack.

What happened to Cisse?

Ole is now basically a midfielder imo. He's most effective there with Giggs and Scholes backing him up. We need a striker to take Ole's place - one who won't always be screaming for first-choice. Defoe wouldn't be bad imo, he has pace but i'd worry about him playing alone up front, even with that support.

Rooney is getting a lot of hype at the moment but a player who has really impressed me is Carlton Cole at Chelsea. Dare I say it, but almost in the Cisse mould? Got the lot I reckon.

Agree about Cole. He's been one of the finds of the season imo. Tall, strong, decent in the air and on the ground. Great talent - they'd be stark raving mad to sell though.
