I remember as a kid watching United play with such a attacking array of talent and used to love the way we tore teams apart

Stepney, Forsyth, Houston, Daly, Greenhoff, Buchan, Coppell, McIlroy, Pearson, Macari, Hill. With super-sub Dave McCreery coming off the bench regularly! The team just rolled off the tongue....same one every week with no squad rotation in those days!!

Then slowly Nicholl replaced Forsyth, Albiston replaced Houston and Jimmy Greenhoff replaced Daly.

But looking back with rose tinted spectacles, I wondered how many of those players would get a look in with today's team.
