Every season as a supporter for Manchester United is a special one. No matter if it is loaded with success or failure, it is always interesting. There is ALWAYS happening something critically important in this club. Always action, either positive or negative. And that is a GOOD thing, no matter what.

There is always a challenge to be dealt with, other clubs are always after our throats. And things can always be done differently, either better or worse. Supporting this club is meaningful. It adds depth to our lives.

There is plenty to talk about after this season, as it always is. Our failure at winning anything this year is the focus now in all our heads, and it WILL follow us until The Fat Lady Sings again next year. Only then will we have totally re-focused on other matters. And so it always is.

So what will the next season bring us? I can see many opportunities. Sceptics and critics naturally see the end of an era. The downfall of a reign. And ofcourse, this happens almost every season. And perhaps they have greater credibility to their claims for every season that elapse. This is due to many things, and first and foremost it is so due to the enivitable end of Sir Alex Ferguson contract; when it one day is so. Other factors that contribute to strengthening such views is the fact that a number of players need to be replaced, eventually. Players that have simply gotten older, and may have lost some of their energy and thirst. We are talking about TIME. Time is always on someones' side. Because we have been so successfull for so many years we WILL sooner or later fail. It WILL happen. All successfull teams experience that one day or another. As long as we are so good at what we do, TIME is always our opponent. It isn't always so. In the 70's and 80's time was on our side. Sooner or later we WOULD start winning major. And we eventually DID. This is nature.

I can't say I honestly expect Manchester United to have ended their reign. I do hope and BELIEVE we will bounce back next year, as we always have done the last 10 years or so. But I do not know. Anything can happen. I like it that way. It adds depth to my existence. It's the flavour that makes the meal superb. It keeps me on my toes. Challenges always make me like that, and I am sure that is the case to Ferguson and his men too. It's the sugar in my cup of tea.

What do you think will happen in our future? We are in crossroads now. The choices we make will have long impacts on our team's ability to achive what it wants; to be the best club. What do YOU see in your crystal ball?
