Class film, one of the all time great cop thrillers. Stars Roy Scheider who sadly died earlier this week.

I didn't like that one very much. Although the 70's NY wasteland was evocative and that driver bloke from Bullitt is always good to watch.

BTW, the real Popeye Doyle plays the LT in French Connection. He's not bad either.

The French Connection is a fantastic film. Top notch performance by Gene Hackman.

One of those rare moments where the sequel actually managed to be better than the original.
