Went to see them last night at the new leeds academy venue. Didnt know anything about them and hadnt listened to any of their music (tickets were a gift).

Top band, made a good enough impression to make we want to post about them. Reminded me of the Klaxons a little. Awsome venue aswell.

A friend introduced them too me before the hype started, I like their stuff but once it goes mainstream it just makes the hype level go into overdrive. Can honestly say I haven't listened to Antidotes for months, but I like Big Big Love (Fig 2).

Are these lads not popular? I never seem to hear about them.

Thought their 1st album was quality and their new album is really growing on me.

One of the band members went to Hull Uni. They come back every now and again and I always go see them, they are decent!

Got some free stuff as well since I was at the front gigging myself larry

saying that I've grown out of my indie esk stage... I've entered rock/ heavy metal dom.

There's me and one of my mates that like them and everyone else we know only seems to have heard Cassius.

I wanted to see them in Ritz but it's over 18s only. :(

I must admit that their new single is very good.

I have it on some crazy mixed CD in my car

It goes something like Metallica: master of the puppets, DOWN nola, that Scouting for Girls song, then Slipknot. It's quite a crazy mix

I made a playlist a while back that went something like Pendulum, Feeder, Rolo Tomassi, Newton Faulkner, Aiden, Enter Shikari, Keane. It didn't flow at all.

Heard their new single 'Miami' today, liked it straight away.

The video contains a bodybuilding ****** fight

Love both albums. The first eight or so tracks from the second album are brilliant. Going to see them in Nottingham in November, can't wait

Saw them when they opened for Bloc Party last year.

They annoyed me. The acoustics and levels were awful so all you could hear of any of their songs was the drumbeat, which appeared to be exactly the same for every single song they played. Plus they dicked about for a fecking eternity before coming on stage, when it wasn't even them anyone had paid to see.

How were Bloc Party live? They're one of my favourite bands but they always sound shit live, well, Kele does anyway.

Pretty good. I've listened to some of their older live stuff since and Kele's definitely improved a lot in that regard. They had the same problem as The Foals with the acoustics (it was a shit venue), but managed to put on a really good show all the same.

Something pretty similar happened when I saw them open for Bloc Party back in 2007, at least with the dicking about bit.

Bloc Party live are immense. Before the hiatus Kele seemed to have finally decided to put some effort into the vocals. He also managed to sing Ares at about 3 times the speed, whilst the rest of the band played at a normal tempo, and still make it fit.
