The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Just don't get me started. It's absolutely fantastic.

Yeah many people have told me that, have you managed to finish it? As it's meant to be a very long game.

No idea. Everytime you do something, another thing crops up. Did a lot but had to uninstall it eventually. It really takes its toll on your computer. It's almost worth getting a console just to play it.

I've just started playing it on my 360, and would definitely reccomend it.

If you're getting it on the 360 wait for the "game of the year edition". It comes with the two add-on quest things.

Great game. Don't cheat though, totally ruins it.

awesome game, competed it, on the shivering isle expansion pack now

dont start playing it if you have stuff to work on at the moment (dissertations etc) as it eats up alot of your life

I bought it off play.com for £17.99 and i can't get into it myself.

I love the idea of these games, played the series since Daggerfall (which was huge, even bigger then this one), I've never managed to complete one, can never hold my interest.

It's amazing. There's so much to do beyond the main quest, which is huge. There's different guilds, each with their own questlines (all of which would be worthy for a game of their own), plus stand-alone quests (of which there are hundreds), and even if you do no quests of your own the place is feckin' HUGE, and there's so much to explore and kill and loot.

I would, however, recommend you look at downloading some of the community-made mods (if you have the PC version). The levelling system kind of sucks, and those fix that, and they also add even more content.

My one gripe with the game is the scaling system, where no matter what level you are the enemies are equal level. This means wherever you go the enemies are equal to you, so levelling up doesn't really matter that much except for getting better loot -- the enemies level up with you. Again, though, community made packs fix this.

So, I would recommend if you got this game (which you should), you get the PC version. There are some flaws in the game itself, which, with the PC version, you can download mods to fix. You can't do that on the console versions, so you're playing more flawed version, with less content.

But it is amazing. So much depth, so much fun, so much variety. You can complete it as a stealthy rogue, sneaking around picking people off with a bow, then a huge warrior, charging in and hacking your enemies to pieces, then a powerful mage, summoning demon familiars and blowing people away with awesome spells, a combination of those or even something entirely different.

It's a fantastic game. Buy it.

it's a great game..just found out about it? it was out like more than a year ago..

graphics are excellent, if you've got good specs on your computer, of course

I have it for 360 ... I'm level 36 with 111 hours into it. And I haven't even downloaded the Shivering Isles expansion yet. Probably one of best games I've ever played.

Two Worlds is supposed to be pretty good too, but with online play.

I didn't like it much, brilliant at first but the enemy levelling made the game so tedious after a little while. Lost the cd and can't be arsed downloading it, may have to get it again though if it's modded

Worth it, I must have completed it 3 three times now, worth playing every time.
