Some Cities is superb. Black and White town is a quality song, one of the best I've heard in the last couple of years.
Took me ages to get into them, a mate was always banging on about them. Black & White Town is a fantastic tune indeed.

Great band just downloaded Lost Souls. Forgot how good it was.

Cheers, mate. I know how I come off. As for the tune, meh once again. And far too long.Well, just backfrom their gig in dublin tonight. Easily is the top 5 bands I have ever seen live. Genuinely impressive, waited 6 years for the gig tonight and they didnt disappoint. Awe inspriing at times, A must see. bit slanty

to be honest they had 1 good album, Lost Souls - the rest is average.
Its just in this day and age, there is a new one out every week, and fair play, they can play their instruments but its just so tedious, and they're always called "the..." something, it really burns my ears to hear any of them now, i feel like I'm living in an episode of hollyoaks!
i get ya mate - if it makes you feel any better they are actually just called 'Doves' - the OP got the name wrong!
and they have been around for a while now - i think 10 years since their debut album- not like the rest of these generic 'indie by numbers' bands that appear every week !

Speaks to the pathetic averageness then doesn't it. They go the slow build route most times. But if the chorus and especially the bridge which takes for fecking ever to wait on don't deliver, pisses you right off. They're masters of it at this point. Pissing me off with their drawn out pedestrian songs.

One of my favourite bands since I first heard Lost Souls. All their albums are well worth checking out. They are touring at the moment, fantastic live band. Go see them if you can.
