Thought it was poor form to not play Mejbri, even though I expected it, after he's put in two major shifts which is a) carrying out the tactical plan b) infectious. And I also think he should have stuck with Garnacho who also put in a shift while scoring as well.

I think Mejbri deserved another start and Mount could come on in the 2nd half. I think he needs to do something about Rashford, while he is our assistant talisman he makes a lot of poor decisions. Garnacho looked far likelier to make something happen yesterday.

My criticism is that he seems to try reinventing the wheel. Mount Bruno duo seems like a 200 IQ move to me. One that can either be very successful or very bad with nothing in between. When all he had to do is signing Amrabat plus some other midfielder in the mold of Eriksen or Casemiro, then he can play whichever is on form (Eriksen should be playing minimally and Casemiro should be rested in cup games). Thats the safest way.

If he persists with that duo and they dont work for quite some time, his job could be in danger.
