14:00 tomorrow, and it is here again.

Tips anyone??

Gold Cup's not till Fiday but as far as that is concerned, i'm not going with Kauto Star myself, oh i know result wise they could hardly have asked for a better build up but....i dunno, at the minute i'll be looking further down the field, a bit of value. And if it has that one bad jump this time round, maybe somone who can take advantage.

I don't know how things worked out for the rest of you, but i had Amaretto Rose and Fair Along, left me down by 2.40 or thereabouts. Chose to cut my lossses for the day, could've been a hell of a lot worse than that.

A day for the the bookies.

no doubt

haven`t had a sniff all day apart from Mon Mome e/w. Went for Pouvoir in the last.

spare a tenner for tomorrow, Dans?

Just about!

Recovered all my losses in the last two races.

Gaspara drifted out and I had a bit more and then sat back and watched a procession. Very impressive. The Pipes pick up a bonus prize for winning that race of around 100k. When that kind of money is at stake, you have to take note.

Now for tomorrow.............

I will have the favourites in the first 3 races in a treble and play small stakes all day. Can't be needing to make up so much in the last two races again!

Today, my early hopes at least, lie with Catch Me and Denman. Both EW.

See how good or bad thing look after that.

If someone chooses right in the 4:00, they'll be sitting pretty indeed.

Just had a tip rec for the 16:55 at Wolverhampton come my way.

Kelamon, Ladbrokes have him priced at 10/1.

Via a builder who's part of a racing club, in my experience his reliability is erratic. So maybe, if you're profit rich come that time of the day, and it looks worth it, possibly something.

Copsale Lad and Golden Bay are where my two modest wagers have gone, if one of them can finish in the places, i might just break even for the week so far.

*hopes*

EDIT: Hopes soundly dashed. :(

Even more worse off at the end of the second day then. It seems that it's all us punters can do, to simply limit the damage at the minute. lol

Poorly drawn, poor jockey, no form on the surface. probably bolt home.

The best i've got is a 3rd, can anyone beat that?

Tips, research, not finding any consistency at all, time for the tried and tested "i like the name of that one" method. ;)

EDIT: It's drifting in the market, :nervous:, OH COME ON ROMAN ARK!!

Now that was just cruel i tell you, still in there with a chance a few fences out.

*walks away*

I was listening on the internet, thought you were in with a shout. I did have Inglis Drever but with everything else losing I`m even for today.

fecking amatur riders in the next. stick a blindfold on, get a pin and see what comes out - GArde Champetre e/w.

Been that kind of day, thought Crozan was gonna do a repeat of Massini's Maguire for a second but it wasn't to be.

There was a horse in what was the Stayers Hurdle a year or two back, now since reitred through injury which is a shame, Iris's Gift. Wanted to go down to Cheltenham and see ehr run but never got the chance. When she won, that was probably my best Cheltenham year recently.

True, but if you pick right, you can make a right killing.

Speaking of which, how'd your do? I couldn't get commentary sorted in time.

So, what do we all think, is Kauto Stat gonna do it tomorrow? The Listener is apparently now only 70/30 to run with the drying ground.

I suppose the fairytale would be Beef or Salmon, but just doesn't seem to be able to do it at Cheltenham

got feck all with the amateurs. Sneeked a final e/w in the last. Thank god for b365`s extended places.

Not sure about tomorrow. I have never liked Beef or Salmon, though.

Hey, chck this out.

From Paddy Power...
Our website pulled a bit of a sickie for the first couple of days of the Festival. It's unacceptable and we'd like to apologise to you. If you have had a bet with us since the beginning of March, we are giving you a free bet to show that we mean it. It's our equivalent of flowers, chocolates and a night of love-making that's all about what you like! Click here for more details.

Not too shabby huh, gone with Katchit in the Triumph Hurdle @ 11/2.

Flight Leader in the second, depending on how they do, i might lump on Kauto Star, not sure yet.

I have spread €50 across 6 horses in the 3:15

€4 each way on Halcon Genelard = €173 Return (33/1)
€8 each way on Sybellius Dart = €5,016 Return (500/1)
€8 each way on Marble Green = €5,016 (500/1)
€10 to win on Idle talk = €510 Return (this was the free €10 P.Power bet) (50/1)
€5 to win on Turpin Green = €335 Return (66/1)
€5 to win on Bob Bob Bobbin = €755 Return (150/1)

......yesterday none of the favourites came in 1st, so there's a decent enough chance that €50 might bring me back something decent.

Fingers Crossed :nervous:

Exotic Dancer and My Will i've gone with.

And according to those at Cheltenham, Turpin Green could be a worthy EW bet outsider.

Finished third, congratulations!

Exotic Dancer £5.04 e/w makes £10. Nothing massive but from such modest beginnings and with a little patience, you can sometimes end upo with a tidy sum.

I am of a mind to quit while i am ahead [and that is so for the whole week now, thanks to Katchit earlier on], as far as Cheltenahm is concerned that is.

EDIT: Good luck btw, to all of you still betting. :)

on First Down Jets in this one. It`s at the back with just over a circuit to go.

Maybe do one of these threads for the Grand National meeting in a few weeks. Aintree has really grown in recent years, the big race is still by far that that special something, but now a worthy buid up too.
