mine's got to be the sheff wed match in 93 when kiddo and fergie went nuts and it kept us in the title race. the atmosphere was incredible and it secured my opinion that brucie was an absolute legend.

close behind that has got to be 2-0 against inter because it was then that i realised that we could win the champion's league and it was also an amazing performance by the whole team.

The Arsenal semifinal replay -99. Not the best-played, but so much drama - and the right result.
Becks' goal, Keano sent off, Anelka's disallowed goal, last minute penalty save, Schmikes injured but all substitutes used, and to top it all Giggsy's winner.

haven't been to too many games, obviously, but the one that stands out has to be beating the arse 6-2 at Highbury (November '90).
Despite the scoreline it wasn't one sided, and after being 3 up at HT they came back to 3-2 and had a goal disallowed.
Blackmore
Hughes
Sharpe (3)
Wallace

We beat Barcelona 3-0...Maradonna and all.

We had to win by three and we did.

Robbo was amazing.

Old Trafford was electric.

The only time i've ever heard the whole ground singing together..

Went home covered in beer and tomato sauce.

Fantastic.

I was at the nou camp in 99 but i still think this one was the best.

Only been to 2 matches;

Aston Villa (1-0) @ OT last season

and Brøndby (0-6)(preseason) @ Parken before the Treble-season.

But since the Brøndby-match was my first, it was definitely the best. Couldn't control my adrenalin and was trembling all over, all the day!! :)

The AV-match were special aswell though, as it was my first match at OT! - As the most memorable from that match, must be Schmeichels return and Ruud's winner :D

Totally agree 26 May. At the airport on the way back to Dublin, we were all at the airport with the Barcelona team and they all (except Maradona) signed autographs for us kids.

It ws a great night!

Did you get Urrutti's autograph...?their shite GK who couldn't handle the crosses?

Albiston from the left, Whiteside with the header down, and stapleton from five yards out at the Stretford End...in the words of an ecstatic Alan Green On the BBC world service...

Had to settle for the radio

I agree with 26 May, the best match I ever went to was United - Barcelona in 1984, the vibe at work (Manchester Garages) was just amazing, played football at dinner time (Albert Morgan was playing, he's now United kit manager)...

Just getting to the ground that night, there just seemed to be a bigger crowd around the ground than ever before...

And then the match, I actually met Sir Matt Busby on the Friday after the first leg, we lost 2-0 but even Sir Matt said to me that we've done it before...

And then there were a few Americans stood behind me in The Stretford Paddock, they were absolutely gobsmacked, they'd never experienced an atmosphere like that...And neither had I...

Lot's of match's were great but 2 stand out.
Wembley 68.
Barca 99.

Most recent one to mind is the mcr derby

Man Utd 5 City 0

Kanchelskis scored a hat-trick that day and I was living in Chorlton at the time and by the time I got to the Royal Oak there all my so called City mates were no where to be seen. In fact I didn't see them for quite a while.

Remember Ron Atkinson saying later, on the telly, that we scored the 3rd goal 'too early'? <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Mine was the one at Old Trafford this year when Arsenal won the title!

They didn't present the title to the Gunners in front of the Old trafford faithful because you lot would've collectively thrown your rattles onto the pitch and minged and cried all over you prawn sandwiches.I especially liked the penalty kicks competition where our kid beat the tar out of your whinger in training.

Ha ha , what a day!

Old Trafford jan 1 1989 Beardsmore ran the show and we beat the bindippers 3-1.

The favorite game that I attended at Highbury was in the late seventies, we won 1-0 and I saw Martin Buchan win the ball fairly by heading the ball while running at full tilt, trouble was Frank Stapleton was jumping for the ball as well...

He went flying, he knew he'd played against a good player then...

Buchan just won it dead easy while Stapleton didn't know where he was for about five minutes, of course when he came to play for us he was a hard bastard but at Arsenal he was a wimp...

Like most of the team now with the possible exception of Vierra...

mmm thanks for reminding me that i've never been to a game and that i live no where near manchester :(

Most of my memorable games were when we were bad. My first game was a 1-0 loss to Leeds in about 1970. When I saw Best, Law, Charlton, Crerand, Foulkes etc I thought "I've got my money's worth". And they were only warming up!

I remember beating Derby 3-0 in about game ten of 72-3, our first win of the season. After the third I turned to my mate and said "I hope we don't score any more. I'm too knackered to celebrate another goal". He gave me a very strange look.

Ostende away pre season friendly 74-5 was great. My first foreign game and lots of Reds despite relgation. Division 2 was memorable because almost every away game we outnumbered the home support. Atmosphere against Blackpool at home for the final game was superb.

Stopping the scouse treble in the 1977 FA Cup Final has to be the football highlight.

Looking at the success in the nineties I wish I was around now but I am more than happy with the memories I have.
