Inspired by a fantastic show by the Basque brotherly duo Nico and Iñaki Williams, who in your opinion was the best siblings couple the sport has seen?

We've been blessed by the Phil + Gary combo, but have they been better in football ability per capita than Kolo + Yaya Toure or Jerome + Kevin-Price Boateng?
Are de Boers the GOATs? Or we all know nothing can eclipse Charlton brothers who lifted the World Cup trophy together.

Bonus points for more than just two brothers playing on a top level, but I can't really think of any

I'll make mine United-themed:
1. Da Silva brothers
2. Neville brothers
3. Evans brothers
4. Buchan brothers
5. Greenhoff brothers
6. Keane brothers
7. Eckersley brothers
8. Fletcher brothers
9. Ibragimov brothers

Never watched Buchan or Greenhoff, but familiar with the names, so they might be underrated on this list.

By sheer ability, Laudrup brothers by far. Both world class in their primes and one of them is arguably a top 10 of all time in his position.

Hazard
Laudrup
Mbappe TBD
Bellingham TBD
Alcantara
De Boer
Baresi
Boateng (half)
Cannavaro
Inzaghi
Milito
Hernandez

Second Bundesliga might not count as "top level", but Marton, Bence and Palko Dardai are currently playing together for Hertha BSC. Which is managed by their father Pal Dardai. Think that's worth kind of an honourable mention here.

There are 3 Hojlunds - one played against his brother in the Copenhagen match

Danny Wallace played for us in the 90s and had two younger twin brothers who were pros

You forgot the Djemba twins…

Rodney was Danny Walaces brother wasnt he?

There are 3 Pogba brothers as well Paul, Florentin, and Mathias.

Ye Rod Wallace was part of the Leeds team that pipped us to the last Championship before the PL started

Ray was the other twin, didn't hit the same level but still a solid career

All three played together for Southampton at the start of their careers

correct answer - both world class. Not sure if any of these other brothers both were world class.
Raí and Sócrates were world class.

I'd even make a case that both were better than Brian, but Michael is way above either of them.

The Laudrup Brothers were really outstanding, Rai and Socrates too, the Milito Brothers were really top footballers, with great carreers both and funny enough from rival clubs in their origins

The Charlton brothers won the WC together, if that's not world class then nothing is!

Don't think anyone has mentioned the Koeman brothers. Won the Euros together in 88.

I don't think Ronald and Erwin Koeman have been mentioned yet. Erwin wasn't a huge international star, but he played at a high level and won a number of national and European prizes as well, including the 1988 EC. I don't remember how much Erwin played that tournament overall, but both brothers were starters in the final.

Bobby and Jack Charlton easily, cmon WC winners
Fritz and Ottmar Walter too. The original World Cup winning siblings in 1954 (where they scored 7 goals and provided as many assists). The former is more well known obviously, widely considered the greatest German footballer of the pre-Beckenbauer era (there's a reason why the best German youth players are awarded the Fritz Walter Medal); but the latter was a very good footballer in his own right, ending his career with 300+ goals for Kaiserslautern.

Also, Karlheinz and Bernd Förster. Won a European Championship in 1980 and reached the final of the 1982 World Cup (Karlheinz additionally reached the final of the 1986 World Cup, and was elected to the Team of the Tournament).

Germany boasts a few more “successful siblings, that have not been mentioned yet: Uli (won the World Cup, the European Championship and the European Cup) and Dieter Hoeneß (reached a World Cup final as well as a European Cup final), Klaus and Thomas Allofs (only pair of brothers to top score in a Bundesliga season and end up in the All-Time Top 10 for Bundesliga goals, if I recall correctly), et cetera.

Obvious ones already written about.

The Baggios been missed though, Roberto and Dino! ( I know, but me and my pals all thought they were brothers for years and frankly knocked for 6 when we found out they weren't!)

Eric and his bro Joel, Eric was good enough to make up for his brothers shitness.

My list

1. Charlton (Bob and Jack) - (WC winners, league titles and a European cup)
2- Hoeness (WC winners and multiple titles
3- Rai and Socrates (WC)
4. Baresi (Franco and Beppe) (multiple Serie A league titles, 3 CL)
5. Laudrup (Michael and Brian) (various league titles, Euro and 2 CL)
6- Milito (Diego and Gabriel) (various titles, 2 CLs and a WC)
7 - Inzaghi (Pippo and Simone) various league titles, 2 CLs and a WC)
8- De Boer (Ronald and Frank) (various league titles and 2 CL)
9- Neville (Gaz and Phil) (various league titles and 3 CLs)
10 - Toure (Kolo and Yaya)

Don't think anyone has mentioned Bradley Wright-Phillips, winner of multiple MLS supporter shields and Shaun Wright-Phillips, PL and FA Cup winner

Jurrien and Quinten Timber have a lot of potential to make it high on this list..

There were 3 Charlton's Bobby, Jack and Tommy.

Tommy is an English walking football International, made his England debut at 70 a few years ago.

How did I not know this?! I've learned something new and it's not even 8 am.

Three Robson brothers Justin, Gary, and Bryan.

Diego Maradona, Hugo, and Raúl

Obviously the Charlton brothers and the Laudrup's come to mind. Brilliant footballers all 4 and our Bobby and Michael Laudrup were world class throughout their careers and comfortably make most top 40 players of all time.

The Netherlands have for some reason had shitloads of footballing brothers. Koeman, de Boer, Witschge and of course the legendary Van de Kerkhoff's

Surely the Ronaldo brothers are the best

Great post and thanks for contributing - I was waiting for one of our Caf historian experts to chip in, as I wasn't sure if the Charltons were the first and only WC siblings winners.
