The best isn't from football but tennis - John McEnroe, I couldn't stand the brat as a player but to my surprise I love listening to his views they are more often than not original and decisive. I wouldn't even classify myself as a big tennis fan but his thoughtful analysis makes the sport interesting. I cannot think of any other sport that comes close to analysing their sport in a comparative manor.
