(sorry if you can't have that in a thread title but I thought it would be okay).

Like novels, you get good and bad songs about lovemaking, obviously the analogy dies as most songs are partially about sex. Some songs detail sex heavily, some just give a summary. Many songs use analogies, many songs talk around the issue.

Lets here the best and the worst, the most graphic and the classiest.

Jimmy Eat World - Night Drive.

Some think it is about rape, but it's definitely about sex. Are there two time lines happening, or is it just one but from two perspectives?

Doesn't need explaining, the chorus is clear enough. Fantastic song.

I'm going through Red Hot Chillis songs at the moment but although many are probably about sex few are "blow by blow" as it where. That song really isn't great, is it the quality or did you just pick a bad song.

Great song no doubt, but it takes the easy way out in some ways. It doesn't talk much of physical act, just of the feelings around it, which is much easier in my opinion.
 
Oh i see, you actually mean describing the act itself? There are a couple of Tupac ones which do that, Fair Xchange, I'd Rather Be Ya N____, infact, feck loads mention it

I just had this discussion in real life. 90% of their followers where 14 year old girls, and that destroyed the band really. But if you had taken away the emo-pop scene, they would have sat in place with proper Punk Rock and Alternative Rock bands.

They where more punk/rock than pop-punk in my opinion. They just had a song detailing how their ex was a whore.
 
Hmm, they've always seemed "poppy" to me. I guess though there might be some stuff of their's that I'm not aware of ;)

Back to songs about sex... here's a good one, and one that Espada can probably relate to

The lyrics to this aren't actually about sex per se but the song title and the video pass it off as sex, the video is fecking amazing also. This is the clean video, the uncut version with erm.. boobs on youtube but obviously I cant link that.
