Which sadly means for British viewers we have to put up with Colin 'not at all a gayer' Jackon pratling on about meaningless nonsense

100 metre first heats start later on. Bit of a none event probably, but I do like it when top athletes take it too easy and risk elimination. Hopefully that'll happen

This means more late nights for me unfortunately.

I hope the Bolt, Gay and Powell showdown is not a dissapointment. Im looking for some records to be broken.

I quite like Colin Jackson though. :nervous:

I watched Bolt and Powell run their heats, then switched for the swimming. I've got myself well into that, it helps all the finals are in the morning session, and it seems bar any race Phelps is in, it always seems to be tight between the field, and yet world records are being broken left right and centre. And unlike previous games, Britain don't seem to be as utterly crap at it

I can't stay up to watch, and the shitty highlights show ruins any hope of drama by always showing the events Britain did well in first, then just quickly rounding up everything else. Which makes the whole thing boring and pointless.

Swimming coverage has irritated me. Some foreigner will swim the fastest time of all time, and then Sharon Davies will interview the Brit who came last :wenger:

The diving and road racing coverage irriitated me more. The bloke covering the road racing made an error every time he opened his mouth. I was so angry I switched over to Eurosport which was brilliant in comparison.
