OH MY GOD, what have I done!!! (gonna run before they catch me.)

Anything would be an improvement on the current piece of crap they've got...as long as the radio's still free.

'bout fecking time! Just hope its more reliable

It's a crappy design mind, not enough colours/images

The design isn't bad. The overhead is huge though. Too much java and dhtml weighing the page down.

will they ever learn that you don't have to have all the "toys" on every freaking page!!??!!

its ok... TBH there are not many great united sites from a design(aesthetic) point of view.. in fact i've not seen one.

except the CAF, ofcourse ;)

not enough colours...

thats it blythy slam on as many colours and fonts you can get hold off

;)

why not?

they are only colours.

some of the best designers and companies often use only one or two colours in their work .. eg tomato, david carson, designers republic etc etc

less is always more. ;)

euuwww! no subsitute for tacky web-pages, with seven colours schemes, and fourteen font-types ;)

The design isn't bad, but the content isn't displayed in an efficient way. Red is very loud as a background, and it tends to obscure the content. Looks like ManUtd.com has been shafted by yet another design firm who convinced them that dhtml dropdowns are the way to go.

my mates a designer for a web design company..in yorkshire..not so far from blythys neck of the woods(nope not the games designer blythy ;) ).. apparently they charge £500 for very poorly designed web sites..stuff that an average designer could knock off in half a day...
rip off merchants, i can't believe people actually go there....

I must say it looks a bit... tacky.

The old site wasn't much for the biggest club in the world and hopefully this one won't take forever to load. Also, I hope the news content etc. would be improved, it looked a bit bare in the past.

The red doesn't look too nifty as a background colour and can be a bit hard on the eyes.

It seems impossible for the site to be as bad as the previous one, but this one is dangerously close - won't really be visiting it in the future.

The match countdown is a bit naff and all. ;)

Yeah, what's that all-about? Takes up half the feckin' screen, and is it really needed?

You can tell that Blythy doesn't know much about HCI cant you! But neither do those who have designed that site either!

The things on the click tabs ore nice, and they don't take any bandwidth up at all!

yeah not particularly impressed myself. I was expecting to be blown away by the design considering it's taken them 6 f*cking months to do it (although I know how slooooow big web design companies are so that's actually quite fast!) but I'm not.

It's way too red for one, where's the white for crying out loud?! Is the club's colour scheme all red like the scumpool? Looks pretty much like the same content as well which is pretty lame. And drop down menus are too heavy on the browser to be worthwhile. While the page layout and site structure is anything but intuitive.

K.I.S.S - keep it simple saps!

And that match countdown, talk about tacky!

All in all I think, being a bit cocky and all for a moment, I could probably have designed a better website on my own and in less time for a heck of a lot less money......oh wait.....I have!! ;)

....one thing I will applaud though is the full browser window size. Big improvement on the 640x480 resolution restriction on the old site.

It's a decent site, huge improvement on the old one, but still piss poor for the biggest club in the world!

also, United should have taken a leaf out of Arsenal's book. their website is fantastic (as official ones go) imo - http://www.arsenal.co.uk/
