read these years ago and just started to thumb through them again recently...

very well written...

and even though I can stand most of his policies and certainly the evil cnut he served under there is something wuite likeable about him as an individual...

anybody else like the books... or wasnt there a tv seeries as well?

Read them, enjoyed them. Dislike his politics and his misogyny though.
