"Former Liverpool manager ums and errs a bit in interview"

Great thread and even better bump after 2 hours of nobody giving a shit.

Why not? He says he's not going to coach anymore, until he decides he wants to carry on coaching.

Also, one of the best managers in World football might be calling it a day at the age of 57.
He's not looking to coach for a few months. Top managers don't normally go into talks for a new club after some break anyway. This is a clickbait thread.

He is a bit of an egomaniac, although most manages probably are to some degree, with that level of attention.

The prolonged goodbye compared to a real legend like Ferguson was ridiculous though, and you could easily think that hinting at retirement is an effort to get more attention.

In fairness to him, he is probably exhausted after so many years of trying to compete with a team blatantly not playing the same game as everyone else.

He needs a club with money, but also an underdog with no expectations so he looks like a hero. A tough gig to find.

Athletico Madrid ?

Athletico Madrid ?

Yeah, that is about the only one I can think of. Possibly an AC Milan if there were a few smart signings and undervalued players.

Série A seems like a league where a good system and a bit of quality could easily get you a title.
