Well, firstly he is already our player. All matters regarding Manchester United and its players should be discussed in the Manchester United forum, not the Transfer forum.
Secondly, the ever growing thread poses as a burden to the server. Closing the extra-long threads would be helpful to maintaining the server performance.
Thirdly, he has joined us, so how there can be anything to discuss regarding his transfer? It's done and dusted and there is nothing left for his transfer to be discussed. It's not like he's going to be sold anytime soon isn't it?
Just my 2 cents.

I think it will come to an end as there isn't much to talk about anymore,
There are tons of other threads that are no longer relevant as well but they're not closed and they haven't given the server any problems,
so let it die naturally and peacefully

I don't see why....It's not like that thread is really about Tevez anymore, it's just turned into a thread for people to speak to others about general things. Anyway, if you don't like it, simply ignore it. I don't like loads of threads in the general, but instead of coming here to complain about each one, I just ignore it and leave it alone....
