Test Drive Unlimited 2 (360, PC, PS3)

I remember the first one - I bought it because I really wanted a decent driving game since I'd been reminiscing about the GTs and TOCAs of my youth, and it was shite.

Like, really, really shite.

Is this series still going? I remember Test Drive 2 - The Duel on my Amiga, I still have the disk, but it won't play on the A1200.

I don't think anyone disbelieved you about the disc, but if they did: BIG feck ON THEIR FACE RIGHT NOW eh? eh? Wankers.

For years I used to think I played test drive as a small child of 3 or 4 years, turns out it was Lotus Turbo Challenge, the one with awesome introduction music.

Can't wait for this. I love the concept of cruising around an island in supercars.

I was in GAME yesterday and this is now on the stands for pre-order!

It's out on 8th Feb 2011 apparantly - please be good!

So has anyone bought this? I have read the reviews but it hasn't scored too highly.

I think it's pretty good, despite simple features not being in the game, like not being able to sell you car, or organising cars around garages.

It's not marketed as a simulator, so don't expect anything like Gran Turismo, but it isn't an all out arcadey game, it's sort of in-between.

Graphics of the cars exterior and interior are good. That's about it though as far as visuals - the virtual world is 'okay' and avatars look horrible.

It depends what you're into though. If you like the idea of driving around a HUGE island without many limitations; cruising with others online; racing against them; buying mansions and other "Sims" like features, you'll enjoy it. If you prefer flat out races around a circuit, and nothing else... this isn't the game for you.

Thing is GE, if they put a bit of effort into the driving physics it would be a top game. I don't to drive a car that feels like a box on wheels. They have no weight to them and turn on a dime. Cars don't do that. Even GT2 physics are better then whats in that game. Its not hard to mark semi simulation steering.

I don't want a simulator type racer so this interests me (Forza/GT get so boring after a while I find). My mate reckons it shite with a controller but good with a steering wheel, can anyone confirm this?

Meh I'll wait until I find it cheap somewhere then, not paying more than £15 for it though. I've read too many negative comments about it on teh internets last week or so.
