All the talk is of an outsider, I say go for an English coach if possible, Venables has managed abroad so he knows his way around, but I'm afraid it won't happen.

Bloody hell I've read some crap on here this week. Ex-United players for coach/assistant manager, Scholes to Juve, Giggs out, Forlan to PSV and now this pile of donkey do.
When was the last time that Venables did anyhthing of note (if ever). 3 years in Barcelona (until Oct 87) with only minor success and his tenure as England manager, which was only a success by Englands piss poor standards, were the "peak" of his career. On top of this he hasn't managed or coached a club side for 11 years since he was booted upstairs at Spurs in 91. You might as well suggest bringing big Ron back
