MANCHESTER UNITED ENTER DUTCH TOURNAMENT

Manchester United are entering the Terborg Tournament in the Netherlands in May.

The Reds will be sending a team for the Under-19 competition, although the rules also stipulate over-aged players are permitted.

The event is being held on 26, 27 and 28 May with Atletico Mineiro, Ajax Cape Town and De Graafschap among those whose participation has been confirmed.

United are also taking part in the Dallas Cup, in April, and Otten Cup, in August, as the club continue to embark on foreign trips to enhance the current crop of youngsters' experience.

Spoiler: The squad

United lost to Cape Town Ajax (who seem to win the group with max. points) 2-0, then beat Flamengo 2-0 with goals from Boonen & Gribbin. Last group game against De Graafschap kicks off in 20mins.

That's really underwhelming, but fwiw maybe Mitchell, Williams would be eligible, and Buffonge and Chong out that weakens the potential strongest side.

They rotate a little as they play several short games a day. Started the previous one vs Flamengo.

Thanks cheers, I know results are secondary focus' for youth football but what do you think about such results at this age? Surely our kids should be beating the likes of Ajax Cape Town and De Graafschap even given that development is the priority. When I compare it to Ajax' youth teams who finish high in almost all tournaments and league's, it's quite a contrast.

Yeah no idea tbh. From the look of the second match's stream they look more disjointed than they usually are.
