Ten Hag presser v Sociedad

On Bailly comments

"I can not say about that. I was not in charge last season. Not for me [nationality deciding selections]."

On Tuchel

"I feel sorry, but there is nothing I can say. It's Chelsea, not Man United. It's early in the season, yes."

Dalot on Antony

"I mean I think you could see the impact he had straight away in our team. It will take time for us to adapt to each other, but I can he adapt really quickly. He is a very good kid, very open to get help and he will adapt quickly. Everyone has welcomed him and I'm sure he will be successful."

Dalot calling Antony a kid

On McSauce

"You can see it like that, when the team is acting well, we have more than 11 players, then you stay in. The team is improving, it's getting better, but for the players that aren't in the team, they can come in at any moment and maybe do better than the players that are in. I know that you need more than 11 players. We have a really good bench."

On Rashford

"Once again, it's difficult for me to talk about the past. What I see is a happy Marcus Rashford. We worked really hard the last two months with him on different aspects. He likes it, he wants to transfer it to the pitch. It started with happiness, he comes in every day, he enjoys it, he's smiling, a really positive vibe, and if you put all of those things together - like the way of play - and you are happy, you will contribute more to the team."

Dalot on AWB

"When you have good competition, I like to call it health competition. You can see this season we have very good players in each position, which makes us better as a team. We have a lot to learn together, we have a good squad."

Love how he shuts reporters down with one-word answers when he doesn't want to play their games.

His short and concise answers are great. I just hope no-one asks him about Italy though :wenger:

Asked about Real Sociedad, Ten Hag answered:

"I was in Spain maybe uno, dos, tres, cuatro, five, times, but I have not seem them play ever since their greatest period in history under Moyes de Guzman.'

On Christiano

"He started against Brentford, then not since, but he is ready to start.

"Of course [he can start for the majority of game s]

On Rashy contract

"Definitely [in his long-term plans]. I don't think he's out of contract and I think United control the situation."

Dalot on Squad mood

"It's always difficult when you lose games, the mood is not the same, but we always come here every day to give 100%, to get better in every aspect and that we can be, obviously after Brentford we had a full week to prepare for a game we knew would be difficult. We won it, it's in the past now, we want to focus on tomorrow and do the same things every game."

ETH on Squad rotation

"We have to win every game. We want to win every tournament, so we take everything seriously. We not only have a team, we have a squad, but we have to win every game and that is the mentality Manchester United needs."

On keeping players happy

"Maybe I can not keep them all happy every game, but everyone gets the game time if they perform well - quite clear. As I've said, we need everyone, we have a lot of games to cover."

What’s health competition? Do they strangle each other in training?

"My favorite player? Kross, Ramos, Illarramendi"

Still haven't learned to spell Kristiano I see.

love that last quote.

Can’t keep everybody happy, but that’s up to the players to perform and force themselves to change the situation. Exactly what we lacked in previous management

I like that. Not "we'd love to win" or "we'd want to win" but that it's a must.

He is saying the right things. And I trust he means it as well.

The questions are so boring, no wonder the Hagmeister gives such short, slightly annoyed answers
