Teddy Teddy Teddy

I have not seen the incident but I heard many Tottenham Hotspurs Supporters on '505' on TalkSport saying they had either not seen the incident or it was not deserved.

I do not think Sheringham is the type to do something malicious and I would be suprised if it wasn't accidental - unfortunately it cost Spurs on that day.

Looked violent at normal speed and so you can understand the refs reaction but telly replays suggest that it was more an exaggerated attempt to shake off McGreal (who'd been guilty of 'holding' Teddy several times).

Teddy was being fairly diplomatic about it on the box last night. Ref (Dunn ?) has apparently said he'll have another look at it.

I read somewhere that it was only the second sending off in his career.

Mike Riley has agreed to study video evidence of the Sending-Off. <img src="graemlins/nervous.gif" border="0" alt="[Nervous]" />
