Abrahams is only a year older but has much better statistical output. People always want the shiny new toy. Tammy is a very good player, finds himself in great positions and keeps defenders honest by leading the line well.
He's good but shouldn't be what we're looking for.
He is a good player but he's closer to the likes of Ollie Watkins and Calvert Lewin than not. If we wanted someone of that calibre then we might as well pluck down into the Championship and sign Brereton Diaz for half the price
C'mon, he's much better than those guys. Statistically he's in the 92nd nPXg percentile. DCL is barely 50th and Watkins is 57th so he's actually closer to Mbappe and Haaland than he is to either of those guys.

He'd be a decent rotation option with another striker who had different attributes. A bit like how Fergie had 4 different kinds of strikers in '99 none of whom was world class on his own but they could still add up to a world class set of options because of the tactical versatility they gave the manager.
However, Ten Hag doesn't have that many options. Abraham's not good enough on his own to be Manchester United's main man over the course of a full campaign. And our squad is not strong enough to carry a player like him during the matches when he can't get into the game.

Playing in a much weaker league and better teams. Context matters, im judging all three from watching their level playing in the PL. In that sense he's far closer to those two than Mbappe.
He's a good player but I'm not altogether convinced about a lot of his play. He would also cost an absolute fortune as Roma took quite a risk on him for a chunk of money and he's had a great season. They'd want a huge return on that. It doesn't really strike me as the right deal.
What has he done for this much hate? I understood you don't want him in your team but still?
The Lukaku debacle should alone tell you to steer clear of one season wonders in Serie A
