so out of these, would do yo think we're likely to sign....:

ronny
di canio
simon davies

?</strong><hr></blockquote>

ronny and bellion

Who said it on the radio? A caller?

Was it Softlad trying to get us to buy Diouf?

dunno!! thats just it, he gave us a few clues, which were

a, he's foreign,

b, a PL based player

c, we've been after him for a bit,

d, he won't cost an arm and a leg.

the story will be published in one of the papers tommorrow.

i can only think of Di Canio..or perhaps kanoute?

(rumour was by one of the presenters....who works for one of the papers...)

Preferable to Di Canio as it would allow rotation with RVN without affecting 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1. But I can't see Bates selling us one of his best players. Here's hoping..

and he played in the cup today

by fergies reaction to the transfer question today it looks like something is on the way

My guess would be Bellion. He's cheap, isn't cup-tied and Sunderland is probably willing to sell.

Looks like the runners are :

Di Canio
Kanoute
Bellion
Gudjohnsen

I can't see that it's Gudjohnsen due to the Bates factor, and if not then I hope it's Bellion on a cheapo, as 'one for the future'.

davies looks like he really couldnt give a feck in his last couple of games for spurs

so not like him

and there season is over already

I agree with you, Arnie. And not just because you have me an award. ;)

And I've not seen enough of him to make a judgement tbh.</strong><hr></blockquote>

Kanoute has just gone abroad to try and sort his injury out so he looks a doubtful target - Gudjohnsen would be my bet.

Great buy if you get him.

Gudjohnsen.

I´ve campaigning for this little fecker for half a year now. Would love it if we get him. Superb striker. Come on, Fergie, pull the trigger ...

Kev the all knowing red from redissue forum thinks (knows?) its Simon Davies...

Does he have a track record for geting these things right?

ive noticed one thing about that kevthered geezer

a lot of his "exclusives" come late on and are similar to newspaper stories the next day.........

and they usually turn out to be complete bollocks an all.

Would be my choice of those mentioned.

Also chelsea have recalled Carlton Cole early from his one month loan at wolves.

Well, he says he does, I really don't know.

he does in his arse,

wasnt it him that said we were going to be doing some big signing on July 5th last summer,

Hes talking out of his arse, this rumour develloped and hes just hopped on, trying his luck

Kanoute???? Is this a joke, surley! Why buy a bigger crock than the fat scouser himself. And the PL based strikers mentioned wouldn't really make much of a difference to what we already have.Doesn't Bellion operate mainly as winger?
To be in a position to pick up some relativley inexspensive young players is always advantageous, but aren't we trying to regain the title back off those cockney barrow boys? We have a good team for europe. Its in the PL that we seem to be struggling to make our midfield dominance count in goals. What we need is quality, clinical firepower.

Western Rd by the Sea. Wouldn't waste your 20p if anything is in the bag it'll be all over the media. It's United we're talking about not some two bit scouse long ball outfit!

Well its not gonna be Di Canio, I hope to god its not Gudjohnsen, maybe Bellion? I rather a Cisse myself!

According to the Daily Star Sunday, it's Bellion. Says we're currently trying to agree a fee with Sunderland.
