Sympathy for Leeds

O'Leary's comment after Dacourt ruled out for 6 weeks: "I don't know who we'll play there now, we are running out of numbers."

I think they will miss him - but what makes me laugh is the apparant lack of Leeds players :) Haven't we heard this for a number of seasons?
Almost as tiring as "next year" from Pool fans ;)

O'Leary was also looking for sympathy when he had only 3 substitutes for their UEFA Cup game. Is this the "strength in depth" needed to win championships? Are Leeds fans worried?

You predicted Dacourt's injury?? ;)

Do you play the lottery?

Is it possible to have 'sympathy' for Leeds ? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Dacourt dislocated his shoulder in a challenge by Tugay against Blackburn where Tugay basically knocked him down then proceceeded to land the full force of his weight on Dacourt back, thus diclocating his shoulder.

It was apparently that painful that Dacourt nearly passed out on the sidelines and had to be injected with painkillers before being taken to the hospital.

He's out for at least 6 weeks but they now think he might have to have his shoulder reset and a pin put in it so that makes the absence closer to 2 months then.

As a Leeds fan it's getting annoying the fact that we do have such a small squad but you have to admit that we are troubled a huge number of injuries for some reason.

The Worthington Cup match against Chelsea was a bummer as they scored both times Leeds players got injured...Matteo still out with achilles injury from that match, Bakke with knee ligament damage, and McPhail with ankle damage sustained with Jacanovic tried to break his leg but his ankle buckled instead. :(

O'Leary has spent over 41 million quid on Keane, Fowler and Ferdinand. He could have bought a whole team for that if he'd shopped around. So feck him, I don't want to hear his complaints. And if his players are getting injured, he shouldn't buy such nancy boys in the first place!

Be fair MOT - we haven't once blamed our initial poor form on injuries have we?
