Am I the only one to find the whole Paul Scholes "injury" endlessly amusing. Would love to have seen Errikson's face when he saw Scholesy trotting out of the tunnel. SGE clearly an overated twat and one of the major benefits of Fergie staying on is that by the time he retires SGE's reputation will be adeqately diminished so we won't have to worry about him coming to OT.

Everyone's making a fuss... But Fergie and Eriksson have decent relationship (As far as I know at least) so I'm not at all so sure Eriksson wasn't told beforehand of the situation.

What's the idea with these friendlies anyways. A couple of the teams in the groups are always weak so why not play together the team in those. It's bloody clear that we can't risc our key players at the moment in these ridiculous friendlies. Besides there is always some hick who wants have a pop at beckham and injure him to have his one moment of fame.

This club vs country row is boring, United pay his wages, we will decide if he plays or not, just as Liverpool do with Gerrard. Playing for your country is a bonus, playing for your club is your job.

Laughed when I read what Steven Howard in The Sun wrote today; spmething along the lines of "it's clear that Ferguson think Manchester United are more important than England"

No shit Sherlock!

For the first, Eriksson has enough self-contol that his face wouldn't reflect what he thought about the Scholes situation. That is one of the areas where he is much stronger than SAF.

For the second, your English and your spelling don't seem to be too good, but do you understand the meaning of the English word "clearly"? I think the that dismissing SGE as "clearly an overated twat" is somewhere between dubious and palpably untrue. And "overrated" has a double "r".

For the third, I agree that SAF will probably succeed in sabotaging SGE's chances of taking over at OT. We will get SAF's choice O'Neill instead and start losing to unknown Swiss teams.

Yes I understand what clearly means (as in "clearly a pompous twat") - and I think it is quite obvious that SGE is over(r)ated - . He is not a terrible manager - but nowhere near the deity that we read about in the press last year. I actually think that we will se the myth unravel a little this year. He reminds me a little of Malcolm Allison - a breath of fresh air that seems great in the first few months but peters out into farce. I do not believe he is the right man for is at OT - and I'm glad ww won't have to find out who's right about this.
