This years campaign on Facebook....well, theres also one for 4'33 but has a much smaller support.

Any of yous taking part this year? I might just do it to give the artist some much deserved money more than anything

i doubt it will make it to number 1, last year there was only one capmaign, but this year there is quite a few.

I'd love this to happen, but this year's alternative number one market is far too fragmented.

This year's campaign doesn't seem anywhere near as organised as last year's, there's at least 5 different suggestions people are backing for no.1

Unfortunately the Cack Factor will claim Christmas no.1 in 2010.

From what I've seen and heard there is more support for Cage than Surfin' Bird. Quite a few artists have put stuff on their websites about supporting Cage and I'm yet to see anything about surfin' bird.

Does anyone actually give a shit what makes Christmas number one?

I don't, I didn't support last year's campaign and I won't support this year's whatever it ends up being. Last year's campaign only really succeeded in that it got to number one. In doing so it did manage to increase the sales of the X-Factor single as all the pop-whores decided they didn't want "screamy goth music" at number one. At the end of the day the people that care about the charts are the people who care about X-Factor so the connection between the two isn't exactly surprising. I don't know many people who care about X-Factor but couldn't give two shits about the charts.
