Surely it’s time for 3-5-2??

Is it time to to try a brand new set up given the personnel now at the club. 3-5-2. To me Ten Haag is simply on a slippery spiral to execution the way things have started again after last season with zero sign of changing his ways. I just feel the below is so much more solid to beat whilst not minimising attacking intent.

Onana

De Light
Maguire
Martinez

Mazraoui/Dalot/Amad

Mainoo
Bruno/Mount
Ugarte

Shaw/Garnacho/Rashford

Zirzkee
Hojilund

It also isn’t so affected by injuries if you can train the full backs to defend to an extent as well as attack, obviously. I know this may seem radical to some and don’t wish for it to seem knee jerk but I’ve been thinking it for a long time and today has just amplified my thoughts. Of interest or a no go??

Against teams like Liverpool I’d be in favor of this style of approach. So long as we can be quick and direct with the counters with players who can dribble, so that means no Rashford starting.

Our players dont know how to play the formation we've played for 3 or 4 seasons. Imagine how they'll do with a completely different one

4-3-3 would be closer to what we're playing and more solid.

Perfectly up for giving this sort of thing a go.

Ten Hag will get beaten with the stick that he is 3 seasons in and still hasn't got a clue what system he wants to play, but it's still better than getting beaten with the stick that the "system" you have spent 3 seasons honing still gets you routinely battered at home.

Also, based on a mixture of limited evidence and baseless instincts, I feel like both Zirkzee and Hojlund would benefit from being part of a front two.
