Completely agree. Unfortunately for us though a large proportion of the population find movies such as this and Wedding Crashers "funny", meaning more and more of these type of films are being produced. 
completely off topic but I saw Dr Strangelove the other day and that IS a funny movie.
One of the funniest movie's i have ever seen.
then there is a lot of comedy films you haven't seen.
i didnt think the film was too bad, but the only funny things were the scenes with Seth Rogen. rest was shit

Fair enough, some people like that type of humour. I myself can't see how people cannot find family guy funny, but apparentley these people exist!

Don't get me wrong, I consider myself a reasonably cultured individual but sometimes when you've had a heavy week, on a Friday night when the kids have gone to bed, you can't beat a bit of high school 'nob gag' comedy.
Totally agree, for the type of lazy humour it provides Superbad was great.

Lots of movies getting 8s or higher (like this crap), and whilst TWBB was pretty good, an 8.7 (last time I checked)??? The hype and awards really influence these votings.
Used to trust IMDB when I go to a movie, nowadays, I know better. Lots of disappointments and utter crap rated highly on there nowadays...

Family Guy is a load of me arse. No feckin plot whatsoever. Its a poor sketch show.
It's still funny. Same with the recent Simpsons, no plots but completely hilarious random comedy.
yeah, well the simpsons has gone shite because it has no plot. I just dislike family guy, because it is funny at times, it should just be better than it actually is. It frustrates me more than anything else.
