Is it any good then you cnuts?

I have it to watch on DVD, but I really really can't be arsed if it's a load of shit.

Well.......??

It's crap. The actual sun bits look great, some amazing images. But the characters are so dull it's impossible to maintain interest in the story - you literally won't care whether any one of them lives or dies. And the end is incredibly predictable, you've seen it in a million sci-fi films and TV programmes.

I don't see the attraction in a disaster movie where the disaster is the sun shining.

One of my mates reckons it's one of the best films he's ever seen.

Having said that, he also thought 'Talladega Nights' was funny.

fecking 'ell franco you need to ditch this mate pronto.

Fell asleep during Sunshine it was that good, and Talladega was probably the worst film I saw last year.

Sunshine's pretty good, I thought the characters were well written, all had their own motives and characteristics which constantly come into play. The ending's a bit predictable but the film itself is well done unlike Event Horizon, Core or the American Solaris which are just bad films. You'll like it if you have patience in my opinion, there's a couple of brilliant sequences in it like when the film's supernatural element first appears and I loved the video diary part at the beginning. In short, it's well worth watching.

That doesn't make it well-written, that's the bare minimum. And most of them I didn't give a stuff about, particularly the drippy hero. The captain was likeable and interesting, that was about it.

So if you think the opposite of everything he does about a film you should be safe.

Started out well enough and looked great but a huge disappointment in the end. Characters you didn't give a toss about and extreme silliness from the middle onwards. A shame really.

Yep. It turned into a run of the mill Hollywood flick. Also I didn't like the over use of the camera effects.

On paper it isnt my kind of thing but i have to be honest, i got forced into watching it and i quite enjoyed it, the ending was shit i will agree.

One bit I didn't get...

When the captain and someone else have to go out and fix the shield, the second in command guy isn't allowed to go, due to being too important, so Kappa goes instead. Yet, when they're stuck on the other ship with only one spacesuit, Kappa gets to wear the spacesuit, due to being more important than the second in command guy......er...

and Plech is right about the characters. In fact, it's a stretch to even call some of them characters. They were just people who happened to appear on the screen every now and then. Especially the two girls; one of them had an unhealthy obsession with plants, for no reason, and that was it.

Poor effort

I don't know what happened to Danny Boyle.

I thought Trainspotting was phenomenal, Shallow Grave was pretty good if not on the same level, but then he went and did this godawful flick with Di Caprio about some beach, now this piece of garbage aka another Space Odyssey ripoff.

Haven't seen Millions but i'm just afraid to get disappointed again.

rubbish film written by one of the most over rated writers operating today. It also (as previously mentioned) one of the worst plot twists/changes in direction in film.

avoid this steaming pile of shite.
