Ignorance is bliss. When we bought Dong he was a teenager and one of the brightest talents out of Asia. We had issues with his visa so loaned him out to a Belgium second division club where he was stuck for three years. While there he did all that he could, scoring goals for fun. Finally gets here and it doesn't work out.
Do you have any idea how different China is to Europe? To take a young kid, pull him from his roots and toss him into Belgium's second division is career suicide for anyone. How was he supposed to develop while playing there? He's still young. There's a chance he might become the new Batistuta. Just need to score another +200 goals.

I'm saying if he was trained by United's youth coaches like he should of, he'd of been a lot better off. How would Rooney of done as a teen in Belgium's second division?
He's no where close to Rooney but he'd of gotten to Alan Smith's level.

Wishful thinking. Had rooney gone to belgium development would have stalled, but when he got to united he would have still started to improve and progress to a decent standard.
