I don't know if this is even remotely possible, or if the powers that be want the masses deciding matters such as what goes on the blog, but I can't help but feel there's some wonderful threads that get looked over.
I understand that the blog may be more consistent if it's just certain posters each time, and there's probably an element of people being particularly eloquent at the moment in order to try and get on it, but I think it might work.
It could, for example, mirror the "reputation" function on other forums, where an OP can be "repped" for a particularly good post. Enough "reps" would bring it to the attention of the admins. I suppose the downside is that if it's good enough it'll come to the attentions of the admins anyway.
I only say this because I was reading Feed Me's thread on rotation earlier (https://www.redcafe.net/f6/lack-settled-team-proving-detrimental-264430/), and I thought it was very, very good. It certainly wouldn't look out of place on the main page.
