Subscribed Threads

I use the subscribed thread function all the time.

Thing is, I subscribe to a few new threads most days and can never remember/be arsed to unsubscribe. So I'm subscribed to thousands of the bastards.

This might (i.e. probably is) be a really stupid question but are all my thread subscriptions somehow clogging up the caf servers?

And if so, is there an easy way to delete loads of them at once? Or do I have to tick the wee box thingys individually to unsubscribe? (i.e. is it a massive pain in the arse?)

I would do the whole box ticking thing.

I recently found the 'subscribe thread' thingy so I don't av as many of the damn things yet, but I usually can't be arsed to unsubscribe either. Unsubscribe or not, that is the question.

It's under thread tools, I think its so you can track a thread.

What happens? Click on USER CP on your toolbar and it will take you to the list of subscribed threads. The one's with new posts since you were last in that thread come up.

It's not going to be a problem as long as people are not replying to those threads, which is unlikely. It's just wasting a little bit of space in the database, so I wouldn't worry about it.

And when a thread is updated it should show up when you click on UserCP.

Well I never did that and it happens for me.

You probably don't have it set like that Pogue.

Try going into advanced post and looking at your additional options underneath the type in box. You should see a thread subscription part with the notification type "do not subscribe" - I have it on "no email notification" and it subscribes each time I post in a thread.

Its always been like that for me. Easy to keep track too.
