Subs at Blackburn

Totally puzzled by the 2nd and 3rd substitutions at Blackburn - Beckham on for Giggs (yes I know he didn't play well) but surely P.Neville to come off & push Ollie up with Van tne man would have been a better option. Then why bring on Blanc? Was Giggsy injured?

By all accounts it seems Giggs didnt look bothered today. I'm starting to think since Veron was injured anyway, we might as well of chopped and changed earlier, perhaps starting with Beckham and Ole up front.

I have heard some bullshit on this forum but this takes the biscuit- "play Beckham up front"- the man's greatest asset and redeeming talent is his ability to play 40, 50 yd passes and whip in teasing crosses not something front players get much time to do. Also why would we play Ole and Becks up front when Ruud is fit and BTW who would play RM (Ole has been there in Beck's absence) the only other player who has played (last season) is Veron and he's injured.

Please think before.........

I think youll find that he meant Forlan coming off for Beckham who moves into right midfield with Olle moving forward

The subsitutions were a joke, fergie should have left the team alone, we were doing ok (although not great. Big name players or not they should have to earn their way back into the team...

taking forlan off at 1-0 was really not the right thing to do, i thought he was playing ok, better than rvn anyway who should have scored. forlan was making some good runs and was the only one showing a bit of spark..

Blackburn played well in parts but all in all i would say they were pretty damn lucky to get the 3 points. A draw would have been a fair result.

We are still up there though and our other opponents wont be so lucky; we are definitely still in the running...

If I were Fergie I will replace Phil with Keano, and on for a defender. The 3rd subsitution was not making sense at all.

I wouldn't agree with the 1st sub too. Keane came in at probably the right time but why took out Forlan? Didn't that change our formation from 442 to 451, when we were a goal down?
