Stuart McGill

Not really. More like a poor mans Warne. Not up there with the top spinners.

That's cos he was never allowed to grow as a player with persistent call-ups.

He doesn't have control over his flight and at imes ends up giving many full-tosses as gifts. Still, more often than not ends up with loads of wickets.

Dunno about his record but never came across as a top spinner. Most of them can vary it and arent predictable. He just doesnt have a very nice loop. It turns but thats about it. Kaneria is a better talent IMO.

Huh? He is a brilliant bowler but he probably won't be picked because he is too similar to Warne and there have been discipline issues recently.

I'd pick him mind. He and Warne would destroy England who cope badly with their brand of spin.

He hasn't been picked regularly since he refused to tour Zimbabwe. Make of that what you will.

Was it politically motivated?

He's also been pretty unlucky having to fight for a place with Warne - Mission impossible.

He can spin a ball a long way but is a massive wanker.

Bowls too many pies for my liking as well.

Unlike Shane Warne who is not in any way a wanker.

And Shane eats them instead of bowling them. Same difference ;)

There'a a whole generation of excellent Sheffield Shield cricketers who'd've walked into pretty much any other side in the world, but never had the chance to develop due to Waugh's quite settled all-conquering side.

I just hope Australia can channel some of this sporting prowess into football over the next decade.

The pro league isn't good enough but it is improving so you never know.

Is he included in the Ashes team for the Ozzies?

Very good, underrated bowler if had it not been for Warne's brilliance would've gone onto greater things himself.

Very true. He gets spanked a lot, but takes some big hauls.

Would be the no1 leg spinner in any side, bar Australia.

Also has more variety then Warne.
